Tammy concentrates her practice in the areas of whistleblowing or qui tam and employment litigation. She has substantial experience handling claims of whistleblowing, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, complex commercial disputes and antitrust violations. She has conducted and directed numerous internal investigations of harassment and discrimination claims and provided countless seminars and training for employees on discrimination and harassment issues. She is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars and has served as a faculty member at the trial skills training program sponsored by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy at its National Session in Boulder, Colorado.

Tammy grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri. She obtained her B.S. in Industrial Engineering with honors from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Following college she worked for Allied-Signal Aerospace Engineering in Kansas City before attending law school. She graduated with her law degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, third in her class. In law school, she served as an articles editor for the UMKC Law Review. Tammy started her legal career in 1991 in the trial department of Stinson, Mag & Fizzell, P.C. She was elected equity partner in 1998. In 2003, Tammy and Carrie Brous formed Brous Horn LLC.

Tammy has been awarded an individual "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available. An "AV" rating has also been awarded to the firm.
